Defecation, being one of the most common functions of the human body, is an activity that comes with numerous differences from around the world. But the entirety of defecation can be classified into two postures, sitting or squatting. Each of these postures has its own merits & Demerits in terms of safety, posture, comfort, hygiene, health and process. The process of squatting is beneficial in terms of health but lacks comfort whereas the process of sitting is comfortable but harmful to human health. But regardless of the criteria, the seating type toilets seem to be on the rise.

The aim of this project is to gracefully combine the advantages of the two processes in order to produce a squatting aide for modern seat-type toilets. This squatting aide must be ergonomic, comfortable, and pleasurable enough to motivate the user to use the product, and must not be intrusive or compromise the safety of the user in any manner. The final design is made for manufacturing and thus all manufacturing constraints were considered while designing the product.
