Visual Programming Lab was founded by Jaron Lanier in 1984 to develop programs and products related to VR technology. The vision of the company was manifested in the form of products like Data Glove and Eyephone HMD. Jaron Lanier is believed to be the visionary who coined and popularized the term "Virtual Reality" through the media, creating awareness among the masses.
