Vatula is a short film exploring the emotional turmoil experienced after the loss of a loved one. The narrative portrays feelings of grief, loneliness, anxiety, anger, suppressed emotions, and separation through a metaphorical visual journey into the protagonist’s mind. The project involved research into human emotions, trauma, catharsis, conscious and unconscious states, and the psychological impact of suppressed and repressed feelings. The film aims to translate complex inner emotions into a visual experience, exploring how the mind processes loss, memory, and emotional pain.
