This internship focused on the production design and staging of the children’s play Googli Jhanak Jaayein, directed by Salim Arif and adapted by Gulzar from a Bengali story by Upendra Kishore Roychowdhary. The work involved concept development, costume and character design, masks, props, and stage visuals. Initial explorations included puppet animation and projected backgrounds, which were later adapted due to technical limitations. A major focus was the magical ghost sequence, where UV lighting and fluorescent colours were used for masks and props. The internship provided hands-on experience in theatre production, stage design, and creating visual effects using simple materials and limited resources.
