Ek Rupaiyah – An Animated Short on Abandoned Children is an animated short film centred on the everyday experiences of children living and begging on the streets of Mumbai. The film explores a simple encounter between a child and a passerby, highlighting how the same act can carry different meanings for the child and for society. The project is based on research into the lives and experiences of street children and documents the development of the concept, ideation, and final film.
