    Now the finishing and fine-tuning are done with the help of various tools and water for smoothening. The moulds are still a little damp but can be handled without changing their form.

    At this point, you can trim off any excess clay and carve details into the model. Pottery at this the stage is called greenware, is very fragile and needs to be handled with care.

    Images show how the workers make use of tools to scrape off the extra clay and define the edges and curves to make the form look prominent and attractive.

    Different tools are used to carve details into the clay model. Finer patterns are also carved at this stage. These are some of the finished products which showcase the details on the forms.
