In India, most people believe treasures, which are in various forms. Some treasures are discovered accidentally by major constructions. And some other treasures were discovered by the archaeology departments with some kind of treasure information through the maps and symbols.
Present days also we are listening and watch news about treasure hunts in old temples and old constructions. For example, Thiruvananthapuram “Ananta Padmanabha Swamy “ temple and recent treasure hunting by the archaeology department for Nizam king's treasure in Hyderabad beside Birla temple. There are different kinds of beliefs in people about treasures. Through the ages, people are trying to discover treasures. In the process of this treasure hunting so many old temples and old constructions have been destroyed.
There are many kinds of people (Babas) who are manipulating people by saying they know the treasure information. And they are surviving through these activities. Basically, they catch people's trust towards the treasures and then they play with their beliefs. There are some extreme cases of treasure hunting such as human sacrifice. People believe that some hidden treasures need human sacrifice that would reveal the treasures. Still, some people are doing these activities.
There are some other types of treasures are there in the forests like money dumps of Maoists or Naxalites. These kinds of treasures are there in the Naxalite areas. People tried for those money dumps. There are various kinds of beliefs about treasures in various forms.
Since I am from a small village called Shetpally, Nizamabad district in Telangana. I have been listening to and watching these kinds of people and their beliefs. Still, this treasure hunting is continued by some people. All kinds of people like educated or uneducated are also in this treasure-hunting process. I have developed this story based on my village experiences and the behaviours of certain people.
