Starting from a personal steam cooking device for an individual, the project went through alot of refinement and upgrade at every stage of the process, and ended with a steam cooking device for esteemed fine dining establishments specializing in Asian cuisine. Though the device is made for an individual to enjoy the experience of cooking, the goal is to influence as many people as possible with the pleasing experience. It is a premium appliance that also caters to the needs of culinary experts to create new dishes.

Project pivoted a lot throughout the process as my understanding of the subject grew deeper. Learning through books, TED talks, primary and secondary research, gave very valuable insights that I wanted to apply to my product. Bringing in the “design for senses” aspect brought in various new concepts to explore. The product achieved an organic form inspired form nature and yet is geometric.
