The internship involved working on “Googli Jhanak Jhayein,” a stage adaptation of Upendra Kishore Roy Chowdhary’s Gopy Gyne Bagha Bajaye, directed by Salim Arif for Prithvi Theatre’s summer workshop. The project provided exposure to storytelling, acting, pre-production, production, rehearsals, stage design, props, and theatre practices. The work included developing masks, props, and digital and graphic elements and exploring ways to create a magical atmosphere within the technical limitations of the theatre. A key focus was the Ghost King sequence, enhanced through lighting, masks, music, and choreography. The internship also involved observing and participating in rehearsals with actors, musicians, and choreographers, providing an understanding of how different elements come together to create a live theatrical experience.
