The place witnesses a flow of pilgrims mainly from the state of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. During every full moon day, a holy event called Giripradarshina takes place at Shivagange, where the pilgrims start a procession that takes them to all the mountain temples around the town, which ends at the Shivagange. In April, as part of the 250 days long annual celebration, the devotees pull chariots set with an abode of Lord Gangadhareswara and Goddess Honammadevi, to mark the beginning of the festival, celebrated within and around the village.
