Tools and Raw Materials
Power loom tools and raw materials at Agaramcheri:
- Kora grass: Plain or Coloured kora grass is preferred for making of the mat as per the pattern.
- Creel with Cotton threads: It is preferred for the continuous supply of the threads to the power loom.
- Power looms: It is generally preferred for making more quantity of mats.
- Continuous supply of power: As weaving happens on the power loom continuous power supply is required.
- Cutting machine: Plain or coloured kora grass are placed on the cutting machine to cut the grass equally.
- Water tank: It is used to store water for dyeing purpose
