Every aspect of Naga life is interconnected with rituals, ceremonies and festivals. They perform a series of ceremonies to appease the spirits of land, forest, fields and the rocks to protect the crops. There are specific rituals from cleaning the land to burning felled trees and bushes from the first sowing of seeds to harvesting the crops. There are special weaved baskets is been needed for the rituals like ting pa chang, it’s a rice bear cup hanger, a colonial basket. Naga people life is full of dances and oral traditional songs and dances depicting every phase of their life.
