Typography Day was organized for the sixteenth time on 26th, 27th and 28th of October 2023, hosted by Department of Applied Arts, Faculty of Visual Arts Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (BHU Varanasi) in collaboration with the IDC School of Design (IDC), Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) with support from India Design Association (InDeAs) and Aksharaya.

Poster design competition was held on a theme 'The Sacred and Typography'. The winning entries were published and displayed in an exhibition during the event. The task was to design a poster to express/represent ‘Sacred’ through Typography. This competition was open to students, faculty and professionals. The competition was open to all - nonresident Indians, as well as foreign citizens could take part in it.
