Tools and Raw Materials
The tools that are used for carving are:

| • Chisels | - It is used in shaping and designing the sculpture. |
| • Rose wood or Rain tree | - It is a basic raw wooden material used in making the sculpture. |
| • White cedar | - It is used as a filler wooden pieces in the place where the presence of white color is required. |
| • Jigsaw | - It is used in cutting the trunks and logs of the tree. |
| • Wood varnish | - A lubricant used in giving the finishing look on the wooden sculpture. |
| • Timber coat wood finishes (sanding sealer) | - It is used in filling the minute gaps in the wood. |
| • Wood stain (Asian paint) | - Paints used on the sculpture. |
| • Shoe polish | - It is used for the lusterless (matt) finishing of the sculpture. |
| • Melamine polish (Asian paints) | - Polish used to protect the sculpture which is lusterless. |
| • Wet or dry emery paper | - It is used in giving the final finishing and sanding the sculpture. |
| • Pad saw | - It is used in giving detailing carves like wrinkle lines and skin folds. |
