This summer internship project explores Gond tribal art, its social structure, cultural history, narratives, and the transition from traditional Gond art to the contemporary Pardhan Gond painting tradition. The study examines the themes, visual characteristics, and symbolism found in the paintings, including representations of flora, fauna, gods, goddesses, and human figures. Practical exploration of these traditional forms complemented the research and provided an understanding of the artistic practices and cultural influences shaping Pardhan Gond art.
