Agamya is a story set around the Ajanta Caves and explores the connection between their forgotten heritage and the present. The narrative revolves around two periods of time, following a man who becomes trapped in an ancient cave while pursuing his prey and a conscious being preserved by the forest. The project draws on Ajanta’s paintings, Buddhist philosophy, Jataka tales, historical research, and the visual narratives. The study examines themes of Samsara, attachment, ignorance, and the passage of time, connecting the historical and spiritual significance of Ajanta with a contemporary fictional narrative.
