Gurukul Jhajjar was founded on outskirts of Jhajjar town by Mahashaya Bisembar Das, Swami Parmanand and Swami Brahmanand on May 16, 1915. It follows ancient tradition of Guru-Shishya in which teacher and student live together as equals. Curriculum-wise it teaches courses based on ancient Vedic knowledge and is affiliated to Maharishi Dayanand university, Rohtak. It is one of the many gurukuls started by Arya Samaj, to stress old knowledge and ways of obtaining that.
