Collection of Mud

  • Printer-friendly version

Clay is generally collected from the nearby fields, the bottom of a pond, lake, or other outdoor water sources from the nearby agriculture fields in Bicholim. Mud is found usually deeper below the top soil. The top soil is not used as it contains stones, organic material which would burn off. The clay is taken in huge quantities to the pottery industries transported with the help of trucks.
