Typography Day was organized for the ninth time on 25th to 27th February 2016 hosted by Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore in collaboration with the Industrial Design Centre (IDC), Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) with support from India Design Association (InDeAs) and Aksharaya.

The theme of the event was: 'Typography and Education'.

The Conference focused on the following issues:

2. Basics and Elements of Typography Design
3. Typography and Process of Learning
4. Typography Education with Multilingual Scripts
5. Typography Education in Native (Indigenous) Scripts
6. Education in Local Language Typography
7. Research Activities in Typography and Education
